SBAB Membership (Costs v Benefits)

By becoming a member of the Small Business Association you get certain benefits. Among those benefits, and in no particular order, are:-

  • A listing in the preferred supplier page., this means you are a preferred supplier to over 45 businesses in Banff. In addition it gives you, at no cost, the status of Small Business Association of Banff preferred supplier to internet enquiries from locals and visitors alike.
  • A voice with the Town in matters pertaining to small business, a senior representative from the town attends most board meetings. Their role is to receive our concerns and divulge information.
  • A voice with the Banff Lake Louise Tourism in matters pertaining to small business, a senior representative from the the organization attends most board meetings. Their role is to receive our concerns and divulge information.
  • Information regarding current Statute eg. minimum wage changes. In addition we represent our members in concerns regarding such changes
  • Information on running a small business, including seminars on such things as recruiting foreign workers and surviving a recession.
  • A private members area of this site (under construction) which will include archived speakers notes from seminars, information from small business specialists and a ‘Do Not Hire’ section giving opinon on employees and firms to avoid. It is intended that this section grows with time and will remain private with access permitted for the current year to paid up SBAB members.
